Things To Do in Boston During Winter 2021

The weather is dropping and dropping fast here in Boston. 2021 is here, and our COVID-19 pandemic still looms large as the vaccine begins to roll out. This means it’ll be our first winter without doing typical New Englander Activities. Bricco Suites knows that just because this winter is different doesn’t mean that you can’t spend time laughing, loving, and making memories around Greater Boston.

Somerville’s Bow Market

One of the unique markets in the Greater Boston area is still open despite COVID-19 and is following guidelines to keep you safe. They have installed fire-pit tables for your friends and family and yourself to eat and drink in warmth while maintaining 6 feet of distance from other shoppers. This is a perfect break between stores and to avoid getting too trigger happy with your cash. The Bow Market has over 20 boutique shops with various clothing, apparel, appliances, and food & drink. Stop by Bow Market while you stay at Bricco Suites and enjoy the New England weather.

Brewery Tour

Breweries are still open in the Boston area and are an excellent opportunity to enjoy craft beers with friends and family. That means that a Saturday afternoon is a perfect time to explore one of the historical breweries. Some include; Dorchester Brewing Company, Trillium Brewing Company, and Harpoon! If you don’t drink, it’s still interesting to get a tour made by a brewer and see how they craft their drinks and the machinery behind it. These places all offer food as well.

Skiing

A prized possession of the North East as a whole. COVID-19 was able to halt many of the leisurely activities that we Bostonians loved to do but were unsuccessful in stopping people from hitting the beautiful slopes in Massachusetts. Blue Hills Area is the closest skiing option available if you are in Boston. It is located 40 minutes away in Canton. It is perfect for a day trip on a Saturday, especially the right spot for a novice skier or someone who wants to learn. If you are here for a week and staying at the Bricco, rent a pair of skies and enjoy the closest ski range to a metropolitan area in the United States.

This winter will be what you make of it. Food, drinks, physical activity, and shopping are all still possibilities here in Boston. If you have more questions about what you can do, please contact our hosts at the front desk and reserve your room at Bricco Suites in Boston today.
